Planning for your special day? Let me help! Here are a few commonly asked wedding questions.
- What should I do before contacting you about a wedding order?
- Check with your venue that they allow outside food to be provided by someone operating under Cottage Food Law (not all venues allow this).
- Do you offer delivery?
- Yes! Delivery cost depends on distance and the amount of items being ordered, but starts at $25.
- Why is this cost higher than other custom orders?
- Wedding deliveries always take longer than other deliveries. It is almost always a large venue with little to no signage and sometimes difficult parking. The coordinator is often juggling too many things to remember I am arriving at a certain time, so I spend a lot of time trying to find the right location and person.
- Why is this cost higher than other custom orders?
- Yes! Delivery cost depends on distance and the amount of items being ordered, but starts at $25.
- Do you offer set up and/or cake stands/displays?
- Not at this time. That is something that should be organized with your wedding coordinator ahead of time.
- How far in advance can I place my order?
- No more than 6 months.
- Do you offer sample boxes?
- For larger orders (over $250), yes. Outside of that I recommend stopping by a farmers market to try my cakes. My sample boxes contain up to 4 different flavors (in the form of mini bundt cakes) for $75.
- Is it possible to just order a cake for the head table and/or photos?
- Of course! While I do offer smaller desserts to feed a whole wedding (or a larger cake), I am also happy to just provide you with something small for the cake cutting ceremony and/or wedding photos.
- How large of a party can you accommodate?
- I max out at about 120 guests due to the fact that I bake out of my home under cottage food law.
- Can I see examples of your work?
- Definitely! See my social media for regular updates. Here is a gallery of some of my previous wedding cakes:
